Piranhas Head Coach Tyrese Perez
“I can’t say how proud I am that our guys didn’t commit a penalty. It’s been something that has held us back in the past, and the development and maturity are showing now. We fully respect Blaze as an opponent and knew they were skilled. Experience was what allowed us to take the win this time. They have been griding since the tough losses at Pioneer Valley, and we have a lot of younger guys playing for us this year, and they have been keeping up great. Keegan Rose has been huge for us as a guy who can play everywhere from the draws to the offense and defensive ends of the field. Grady Brown had made huge saves to keep us in the game, especially when Blaze tried to make the push in the last quarter.
Offensively we have been in good hands settling the ball in Gio Arman’s stick, which gives guys like Shea Gonynor and Seamus Hartnett great opportunities to show their skills of putting the ball in the back of the net. Defensively we had a 7th-grade, 8th-grader, 2 freshmen, and a sophomore out together at some point, and they did their jobs.

Certainly we have to come together again this week and make the necessary adjustments to finish strong for the season, but overall I’m very happy with the strides they’re making. It’s a young team, and the seniors we do have are setting a great example."
